Why are the silos made out of fabric?
In metal or glass fibre silos condensation may be produced. The
resulting humidity leads to mildew and lumps in the feed. Precious
fodder gets spoiled and the health of your horse is in danger!
Hygiene
UV-silo®'s are manufactured from breathable fabric. The stored
fodder remains dry and in a perfect condition. This gives you
optimal hygienic conditions for your fodder storage.
Can the fabric be damaged by UV-rays?
The construction of our UV-silo®'s means that protective measures
against sunlight are unnecessary. Our UV-silo®'s can be installed
directly under a transparent roof ridge. You do not need to darken
windows or light panes.
Further advantages
If you have visitors to your stable, the silo contributes to a
bright and friendly atmosphere. For an external installation we
will supply you with a complete construction-set with cover for
self-assembly.
Installation
UV-silo®'s can be erected in different ways. Further UV-silo®'s
can always be added, even at a later date. Apart from the UV-silo
in a steel structure, we also supply steel supporting frames to
secure to an existing structure, such as a roof ridge.
One more advantage
Because of the continuous fodder feed, our UV-silo®'s are ideal
automatic feeding installations.
